Dynagen Cisco Network Simulator
Introduction
It is not directly related to Network Monitoring software. But we can use this software to have better understanding on our network and it is possible to simulate our current network using this software. Of course Cisco product.
Dynagen actually is a front end of a famous cisco simulator software, dynamips. Dynamips designed in 2005 to simulate Cisco 7200. But now it supports also Cisco 3600 series (3620, 3640 and 3660), 3700 series (3725, 3745) and 2600 series (2610 to 2650XM, 2691).
Quick Howto
- Download and Install WinPcap (if you don’t have)
- Download and Install Dynagen latest version
- You have to own legal Cisco IOS Images, Copy it from your cisco router
