Introduction

Quick Howto

GroundWorks provide Community editions and Evaluate Editions (for professional and enterprise). To install the community edition here is the quick howto:

  1. You will need Perl, MySQL, Java JDK 1.5.0 Update 6,Web Server/Apache
  2. Choose your distribution from SUSE, RedHat, Ubuntu, Debian, Live CD (Using Cent OS) or VMWare Package
  3. Download your chosen distribution
  4. Login as root user.
  5. Un-tar package you downloaded with the command: tar -xzvf *.tar.gz
  6. Change the directory to groundwork: cd groundwork-installer
  7. Start the Installer: ./run_install.sh
  8. Verify the installation http://yourhostIPAddress
  9. Apply service pack for Groups Contact Issue
